You Deserve a Beautiful Smile
If you have one or more missing or damaged teeth, same day dental crowns and bridges may be right for you. There is no reason to wait for weeks or months for the lab to create your restorations. At Burley Dentistry, we offer same day dental crowns & bridges for our patients in Charlotte, NC and neighboring communities. Below you can learn more about this same day technology, how it works, and our CEREC machine.
Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics (CEREC) is a machine that is used to mill dental restorations in as little as 10 minutes in our Charlotte dental office. This allows you to avoid the one or two week wait for restorations to be crafted in the lab. Our CEREC technology allows us to craft your restoration, so you go home with a permanent restoration on the same day. If you want strong, beautiful restorations fast, consider a CEREC crown or bridge.
A dental crown is a small piece of tooth colored material that is made from porcelain or zirconium. The crown is designed to completely cover the natural tooth to repair major areas of damage and restore the integrity of the tooth. To place a crown, our Charlotte restorative dentist cleans the area of decay and prepares the tooth before cementing the new crown over your existing tooth. This provides an entirely new tooth surface, potentially saving the tooth from death and creating a natural appearance. Our crowns are designed to last for many years.
We offer both fixed and implant supported bridges in our Charlotte dental office. Many of these bridges can be performed using CEREC technology, but larger bridges are sent to a lab and returned within a week. Fixed bridges are designed to permanently replace one or more missing teeth. These are formed by attaching three crowns or more crowns together and cementing the end crowns on the teeth surrounding the gap. This allows the middle tooth to sit securely in the gap. We also offer implant supported bridges. This type of bridge does not rely on neighboring teeth, but is anchored to the jaw using a dental implant.
Dental implant restorations are crowns that are attached to a dental implant after placement. Inlays and onlays work like crowns to repair teeth but only cover a portion of the tooth. Our restorative dentistry page contains additional information about each type of restoration offered by our Charlotte dentist.
